A Micro-Blaster™ "David and Goliath" Story

The City of Lewisburg, WV, in the midst of an expansion of its water system into the town of Frankford, WV, encountered limestone bedrock in the trenches being excavated for piping. They brought in an outside contractor with a track hoe equipped with hydraulic hammer at $150 per hour and let it work for 2 days to clear the limestone from the partially excavated ditch. On the third day city officials visited the site to check on progress only to find that the operator estimated that several more days would be required to complete the rock removal. Having seen a demo of our Micro-Blaster System in action the city employee decided to temporarily stop further use of the excavator/hammer and proceeded to our local dealer to purchase a Micro-Blaster I System.

Armed only with a credit card he purchased everything he needed, Micro-Blaster I Kit, rotary hammer drill, bits and box of Micro-Blaster Cartridges, approximately $900, and proceeded back to the site. After acquainting himself with the operating instructions in the Micro-Blaster Manual he began breaking rock. After 2 hours and several shots he realized that he had broken about the same volume of rock as the excavator had taken 2 days to break. Using the Micro-Blaster the crew finished the rock removal process without use of the excavator/hammer saving the project both time and considerable cost.

Reported by Mark Carver, Director of Public Works, City of Lewisburg, WV

From the above story we can conclude that the Micro-Blaster System removed rock 8 times faster than the excavator/hammer and reduced cost, $2,400 vs. $900 plus labor and, the City of Lewisburg, now owns the equipment. If you compare capitol costs for equipment, the advantage ratio expands to an amazing 400 to 1!   Faster, Cheaper, and Smarter!     Plus, since cartridges cost only $2 each, you can imagine the future savings.
